Water came gushing out of my toilet!  I looked in the garage and it was filling the floor in there as well!  I quickly ran to the main shut-off valve to the house.  Whew.  Just in time.  It's amazing how one can take so many things for granted, including running water!  That being said, we have had no water this week now for three days, and we still wait patiently on the plumber.  Meanwhile, life goes on, and two MS/HS workshops later, a landscape painting completed, and an underpainting of Mr. Giraffee finished,  we are still waiting on Mr. Plumber.  Praise God for friends and helpful neighbors who have water and for He who supplies ALL our needs!

"Safe in His Arms" is a watercolor I painted just before Father's Day this past weekend.  My daddy passed away 25 years ago, so young, and I miss him so much.  Twenty-five years seems long ago, but it still hurts.  I still can feel his strong hugs, though, and I always felt safe in his arms.  Every father's day, I like to honor him.  This father's day it is with a painting that I hope honors fathers everywhere, especially those who serve or have served for our country. 

I am so grateful for my father and my heavenly Father; hope you had a wonderful Father's day!

In Memory of Christian was one of those pieces I rendered with a prayer under my breath and a heart full of tears.  I know Christian is with the Lord, but I cannot imagine losing a child.  This drawing will hopefully bring comfort to her and her family as Christian's legacy lives on in their hearts forever.
