This fox portrait is a symbol of wisdom. Fox are very intellegent, ingeneous, animals. "Wise as a fox" means they evaluate their course of action quickly and accurately. They are cunning and filled with wit. Red fox are found throughout all of North America and may live as long as 12 years. Each spring, they raise a brood of frolicsome kits and are very good parents. This painting is of a "teenage" kit. I named her/him "Wisdom." My 9-12th graders were learning about how to draw and paint animals. Wisdom came to class that day and the students enjoyed learning how to paint by layering. "Wisdom" sold on 4/5/12 to a buyer from Minnesota. Thank you!
